We arrange an assessment with you and your family as soon as you call us, often within a week based on your timelines as well as availability. It is important to have everyone in the same room to have this conversation and ensure that everyone’s questions are answered.

During this in-home assessment, we can support you on fall prevention best practices and we will design a customized home care assistance plan with you.

Based on the needs of the care plan and the experience required, we then match you with one of our staff that is a great fit. We pride ourselves on getting that great match!

Our caregivers in Langford have a diverse educational background with some of them having nursing qualifications from abroad, while others are home care aides, housekeepers and/or companions. All of our staff have onboarding and ongoing training from the basic health & safety training, to additional specific training on various care needs.

Absolutely! All of our care plans and therefore services are customized based on yours and your family’s needs. Overnights are a common request while the family sleeps that someone is attending to your loved one’s needs. With frequently waking up at night or potentially wandering, having someone alert and present during these times can create great peace of mind.

Home care can encompass quite a large definition. At Just Like Family Home Care, it is even larger with our a-la-carte approach to designing your care plan and matching you with a caregiver. In addition, we have a Community Health Manager who is connected to many healthcare providers and other organizations in your community who support aging in place. Our Community Health Manager is a huge resource for families to navigate the healthcare system and aging well in their homes.
