At Just Like Family Home Care, we consider home care as anything that will lighten the load for you and your loved ones. This can be anything from doing the laundry that resides in the basement, taking out the garbage and recycling that is heavy, and changing your bed linens weekly so that they are fresh when you go to bed. We also know that going for a walk in the park, getting to your appointments, and just enjoying a pot of tea is important. Of course, we have professional PSWs to safely perform personal care.

At Just Like Family we go above and beyond as your loved one is unique with specific care needs but they also need someone to support them that they have a good relationship with. We have a matching program that is designed for a therapeutic relationship, and having the same caregiving team is our commitment to continuity of care. We have processes in place to ensure that you have consistency in your care, that we are proactive in updating your care plan as required, and our systems allow for oversight and responsiveness. Navigating the healthcare and support systems in Ottawa is part of our job! We are a family-funded home care business and can work with you on the various programs that you may be eligible for. We work with you to create a blended care program that takes into account your family & friends, the various government programs, and what is private care.
