“I am interested in JLF because I feel the organization is in alignment with my experience and I understand the complexities and empathy required when dealing with the elderly based on my personal experience taking care of my aging father who has suffered numerous strokes. I resonate with JLF because even though it is a franchise it focuses on social enterprise and I feel like I can make more of a difference in other peoples lives while building my own legacy. “

Owner“I am a university graduate. I graduated with Honors (Law and Society) in addition attained a certificate in Leadership and NonProfit management from the Schulich school of business. I have experience in management, customer service, banking and sales. I also have four plus years of experience as a caregiver, for my mother who had cancer but unfortunately after a long battle passed away.
I am interested in owning a JLF franchise because from first hand experience I truly understand the difficulty of being a caregiver. Seeing my mother dying, I believe that dignity is pivotal and JLF has that mission, providing quality care so that clients can be taken care of in a dignified manner which is essential especially for those having to endure the difficulties of aging and illness. Secondly, I truly understand the empathetic nature one has to have when dealing with families during those sensitive times because I had to be very empathetic as a caregiver. From a business standpoint I have the practical experience to understand how to run a successful business.
Most importantly. “People over profits” is what I believe which directly aligns with the values of JLF. WIn win capitalism is a very unique business structure which I am truly interested in. “Enhancing the quality of life”resonates with me deeply because those last moments before my mother’s transition were truly special. I did everything in my power to enhance those precious moments, and deeply feel the motivation to help others do the same with their loved ones because that to me is of utmost importance. Lastly, respect is a fundamental value with JLF and is in direct accordance with my values. Being treated with respect and empathy is critical when dealing with senior care which I believe every single client deserves.”
