Christopher A. Trotman is a dedicated communications and community engagement professional, now bringing his passion for meaningful relationships and personalized care to Just Like Family East York. With extensive experience in strategic communications, project management, and partnership development in both private and non-profit sectors, Christopher understands the critical importance of trust, reliability, and empathy in delivering quality care.

Previously, as Senior Communications Advisor at Partners Community Health, Christopher contributed to the launch of Wellbrook Place, one of Canada’s most advanced long-term care facilities. As Founder and Lead Consultant of Trotman Public Relations, he has supported numerous non-profit health and social service organizations, including Parkdale Queen West CHC, ANOVA, and Access Alliance CHC.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Windsor and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Corporate Communication Management from Seneca College. He actively volunteers his leadership and strategic expertise to organizations such as Ujima Fathering Centres, Kalabash Consulting Co-operative, and IABC Toronto. Christopher is deeply committed to enhancing community well-being, fostering genuine connections, and improving quality of life through thoughtful communication and exceptional care services.

Tanya Johnson

Director of Clinical Care

Tanya Johnson is a nurse clinician and has over fifteen years of clinical experience in a variety of healthcare sectors, including Academia, Community & Public Health, and in the Hospital care setting. In addition, her areas of expertise have been in community & public health, senior’s health and women’s health. While working in these areas she has had the opportunity to lead these clinical interprofessional teams and clients cared for with success.

Tanya is also a visionary systems nurse leader who prioritizes business strategy focusing on people, processes and systems. She always leads her clinical teams with integrity and is focused on continuous quality improvement, workplace culture and safety, equity and diversity, and change management. She makes it a priority to ensure compassionate client-centered care for clients accessing all services that she oversees. Tanya is passionate about ensuring that her clients have access to comprehensive customized health care services so that they feel supported, safe, and cared for.

Tanya holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing with a specialization in Community Health Nursing. Other post-graduation certifications include: Health Care Leadership, Clinical Nursing Leadership, Clinical Strategy Leadership, Nurse Educator, Change Management and Conflict Management Certifications.

In Tanya’s spare time she enjoys working out and exploring new hiking trails, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
