Home care is a commonly misunderstood term with many people believing that it reduces your independence and is for people who “really need it”. At Just Like Family, we are very wholistic in our approach and consider our service plans with our clients to be based on what is helpful. Sometimes this is supporting housekeeping, changing linens, and garbage—just the things that people find to be a hassle. In other times, we hop in when an extra pair of hands is needed, including after surgery or when something unexpected pops up. We love speaking to families about what might make their lives easier!

We treat everyone like a person. This means that nothing comes “standard”—everything we do is based on conversations with you and your loved ones to have the perfect match with you caregiver(s) and to ensure that our care plans are supporting you in thriving rather than merely surviving.
In addition, we have stringent policies and procedures to ensure that we are delivering the highest and safest level of care.

We always do a free in-home assessment. This is a chance to better get to know each other, learn more about what would be helpful, and to understand the environment that our caregivers will be working. We don’t sign contract, simply customer agreements which include cancellation and general understandings of how we will work together. This gives you the utmost flexibility.
