Home care can be a whole range of services and supports. We are always thinking of how we can make our clients and their loved ones lives easier. We often come into a family’s lives during a time of stress when everyone is trying to figure out the way forward. Home care for us is supporting families in navigating these times by providing services directly, but also to navigate other services and supports for seniors in North Vancouver.

Some samples of services that you could ask for would include going for a walk, taking care of pets, doing some gardening, doing the laundry, prepping a meal, or even playing a game. Of course home care includes bathing support, dressing and grooming as well as continence management. Whatever is going to make your lives easier, we are happy to take on.

Each partner has a specific niche and support that they offer. For instance, North Shore Community Resources provides light housekeeping services to seniors who are 65 years and over or who are between the ages of 55-64 and on disability assistance.

It is important that you select a home care provider that is a great fit for you and your loved one. Absolutely! Many of our clients are residents in retirement homes, seniors residences, and long-term care facilities. We work with the staff to complement and enhance your care to ensure you are thriving.

At Just Like Family Home Care, we believe in open communication and transparency. You will have access to our Client Portal so you can check on the care your mom receives every single visit! You can even find out what she had for lunch.
