Home care can be a whole range of services and supports. We are always thinking of how we can make our clients and their loved ones lives easier. We often come into a family’s lives during a time of stress when everyone is trying to figure out the way forward. Home care for us is supporting families in navigating these times by providing services directly, but also to navigate other services and supports for seniors in North Vancouver.

Some samples of services that you could ask for would include going for a walk, taking care of pets, doing some gardening, doing the laundry, prepping a meal, or even playing a game. Of course home care includes bathing support, dressing and grooming as well as continence management. Whatever is going to make your lives easier, we are happy to take on.

We believe that relationships matter. And we take that to heart by working with local nonprofits and other organizations in North Vancouverr. Some organizations that we work with and recommend to our clients include:
– Alzheimer’s society
– ICBC
– BC Care Providers Association
– BC Seniors Living Association
– North Shore Community Resources

Each partner has a specific niche and support that they offer. For instance, North Shore Community Resources provides light housekeeping services to seniors who are 65 years and over or who are between the ages of 55-64 and on disability assistance.

It is important that you select a home care provider that is a great fit for you and your loved one. Some of the top benefits of home care is having peace of mind that your loved one is being taken care of well and safely, and another is that you have your own self-care so that when you are with your loved one you can have quality time rather than worrying about the laundry or tidying up.
