There are a lot of misconceptions of what home care is! Many people believe that it is just personal care, which encompasses continence management, bathing, supporting in eating, and the basic necessities.

At Just Like Family Home Care, we take a much broader approach to our care plans where we work with the entire care team to see how our support can improve everyone’s lives by reducing any burdens or additional workload. Our care plans often include things such as laundry, meal preparation, weekly chores including waste disposal, taking care of pets, and even gardening! Home care is not just about the basics for us, it is how we can improve quality of life for everyone.

We don’t use contracts, we have customer agreements which are more flexible and understand the changing requirements of your family. These agreements are based on regular hours and days of the week that we have agreed to as well as a mutual understanding of how we cancel shifts, change the service plans, as well as terminate service. We go above and beyond to have outstanding service which means there shouldn’t be any surprises – that’s why we have a client portal for transparency in schedules and billing. We invoice twice a month and we various payment options that are set up at the commencement of service.
